A Fragile Statement

On rising costs and ticket prices

Dear community and visitors. In keeping with this year’s theme, Fragile Forces, we are sharing this message with you. This is in response to sharp rises in costs and the ability to buy festival tickets.

Over the past few weeks, we have noticed that our ticket sales are progressing very slowly, and this is causing us concern and, to be transparent, a bit of stress too. We are not the only organisation struggling with soaring costs and a changing culture around attending and purchasing tickets for events and festivals. We know that it's not always possible for people to attend the events they'd like to go to.

Let's be honest: making ends meet in this city and this country is a growing challenge, even while we're aware that others have it even harder. More and more we are buying tickets late, or waiting until the last minute. It's also clear that many people can no longer afford tickets to all the events they'd actually want to go to, especially as those events keep getting more expensive.

To offer everyone a chance to attend, we’ll drop prices over the next few days (till 25/5), offering heavily discounted tickets and a special friends action.
