About the artist

Polar Inertia is a multidisciplinary electronic music project formed in 2010, working across sound, text, visual and installation-based practices to construct an elusive conceptual universe that resists fixed identity and embraces obscured perception. Their work flows in monochrome, fog-like sonic environments where ambient, experimental and deep techno merge with spoken narrative, evoking shifting states of visibility, memory and space. Since their debut Indirect Light (2011), they have performed at venues and festivals such as Berghain, Bassiani, Atonal Berlin, Mutek Montreal and Draaimolen, while also presenting work in contemporary art contexts including Palais de Tokyo and the Lyon Biennale. During FIBER, Polar Inertia will perform in the Switchroom, curated by Minimal Collective, continuing their exploration of immersive, liminal sound worlds.
