About the artists
Nexus emerges from the collaboration between B4mba and Mooki6, members of the Barcelona-based Pan-African multidisciplinary Jokkoo collective, as a response to a world marked by rupture and intensity. Drawing on ancestral rhythms and heavy, low-end frequencies, their sound holds tension between rupture and connection as it moves across punk, industrial, dancehall, noise, and trap. The duo’s music explores the tension between darkness and illumination, a raw scream of rage, charged with emotion, memory, and urgency. Each performance becomes a chaotic, cathartic, fiercely alive sonic ritual where chaos is not only expressed but transformed, forging temporary forms of cohesion within instability.
