About the artist
As Batu, Omar McCutcheon has been at the vanguard of non-conformist techno and experimental club music for more than 10 years, largely centred on his Timedance and A Long Strange Dream labels with notable excursions to respected platforms such as Hessle Audio, Livity Sound, and UK indie heavyweight XL Recordings. Throughout the evolution of his career, McCutcheon has mutated conventions around techno and soundsystem music with a precise intention according to the ideas and inspiration that drive him. Even though he’s a mainstay at some of the biggest electronic stages, the intimacy of a smaller dancefloor remains inspiring. His set in the Washroom of TILLATEC is not to be missed.
